Description
The RADA USA Data Warehouse Engineer plays a critical role defining, creating, and maintaining the essential company data platforms. This role would plan, promote, and execute on the Information Technology department’s best practices and design principles for data warehousing techniques and architecture. In this capacity, the role would monitor and troubleshoot performance issues on data warehouse servers and sources while taking lead in the development of business intelligence, business data standards, and processes. They will play a pivotal role in reinforcing RADA USA’s rapid growth by working closely with all key departments to ensure valuable data and related systems are utilizing our information to its greatest potential.
This role reports to the Director of Information Technology who then reports to the CEO.
The ideal candidate has an independent, strategic, and innovative mind with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Knowledge/experience with Industry 4.0 (IIoT) is a huge plus. Carries an itch to optimize and remove waste when possible. Often due to sight on seen potential. Has an understanding that RADA USA is a cutting-edge innovator with a modern brand in the defense sensors sector. This individual should have excellent soft skills; ensuring the ability to work across all departments in the business is seamless and a positive experience for all that keeps the entire business hungry for more.
Core Responsibilities
• Construct and maintain the baseline for the central data warehouse for ERP and Manufacturing data with the eventual ability to extend to all associated systems (CRM, PDM, PLM, MES, QMS… etc). Will become the central source of truth for all RADA USA employees to extract data from
• Develop interactive web dashboards to visualize data in a modern way
• Create and maintain department reporting and KPIs as needed
• Optimizing utilization of data where value-add can be found
• A strong understanding that this role impacts the entire corporate business and is expected to treat the work as such
Supplemental Responsibilities
• Assist with optimizing the data utilization within JIRA, MES, and ERP systems
• Become internal POC for complex ERP questions due to strong underlying understanding of the backend data foundation
• Build processes and procedures that can be replicated across many business units across the globe
• Internal liaison for CRM related items
Requirements
• 7-10 years of manufacturing experience in any position, ideally on data facing positions (defense/aerospace is a plus, years vary based on position impact)
• Moderate programming background (3-5 years) in at least one data driven language
• Proven ability to work with modern web APIs (REST, GraphQL) with basic data visualization
• Strong attention to detail
• Above average soft skills (internal / external communication)
• Proven ability to thrive in a change-oriented environment
Beneficial Requirements
• Background in ERP systems from a data steward or analyst position, ideally DelTek CostPoint
• History with Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing systems, ideally on implementation/management side
• History with time management platforms (manufacturing preferred)
• Deep application background across a variety of tools and systems (ERP, CRM, MES, QMS, LMS)
• Ability to program in a data driven language (Python, C#, Matlab, SQL)
• AWS Web Development
• History with container deployments (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Atlassian Products (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
